The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) is the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding innovative lymphoma research and providing people with lymphoma and healthcare professionals with up-to-date information about this type of cancer. The Foundation’s mission is to eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by this disease. To date, LRF has funded more than $70 million in lymphoma research.

The Manager of Scientific and Professional Education Programs assists with LRF’s professional education portfolio and scientific programs. This includes managing administratively the organization’s signature continuing medical education program, Lymphoma Rounds and lymphoma consortia, initiatives, and scientific workshops. This includes but is not limited to on-site support of education programs and preparation for professional education programs and scientific workshops.

The position is based at the LRF New York City office and reports to the Associate Director of Scientific and Professional Education Programs. Please note that is mandatory for Foundation staff, including this position, to work in the Foundation’s New York City office Tuesday-Thursday; staff may work remotely Mondays and Fridays. Staff must also demonstrate proof of vaccination for COVID-19 due to the Foundation’s work with immune compromised cancer patients.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of management of scientific meeting development. This includes but is not limited to logistic support of Steering Committee meetings, scientific meeting logistics, venue contacting, onsite support and related meetings with staff, vendors, and volunteers.
  • Lead relationship management of Nursing education program. This includes all communications with the program steering committee, logistics for virtual planning meetings, and preparation of meeting agendas and materials.
  • Oversee project management of Lymphoma Rounds, physician education program. This includes but is not limited to submission of marketing/promotional requests, collection of presentation and disclosure forms, logistic support on site and communication with CME accreditor.
  • Collaborate with continuing education bodies to provide necessary information for all CME/CEU activity.
  • Share responsibility of oversight of day-of-event operation and logistics, including onsite registration, liaising with program participants, and assuring proper benefits of sponsoring donors on site.
  • Represent LRF at local and national hematology/oncology meetings as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least three years of professional experience preferred
  • Experience with accredited programming in a higher education setting a plus
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn new software programs
  • Ability to travel to various locations across the United States to assist with Lymphoma Rounds programming on site; Some events may cover evening and weekend hours
  • Travel to other LRF events and Foundation-related meetings as needed
  • Ability to lift at least 20 lbs
  • Total travel estimated at 20%.

Pay Rate

The pay range for this position is $25-$35 per hour for approximately 35 hours per week.
